The Princess Bride

In The Princess Bride, we follow a story of true love, daring rescue, and a hero who refuses to give up, no matter the cost. This message draws a parallel to the greater story we’re all part of. Like Buttercup, we are helpless to save ourselves, and like Westley, Jesus is the true hero who comes to rescue us. But unlike any fairy tale, His rescue doesn’t come through sword fights or clever plans, it comes through the cross. Jesus willingly faces death, defeats it, and rises again to bring us life. The gospel is the greatest love story ever told: we were lost, but our Savior came for us, gave everything for us, and invites us into a forever life with Him.
